Yes, as one storage option among several. Grade 5 students often think 'the cloud' means nowhere; it is worth saying plainly that it is someone else's computer in a data centre, reached over the internet.

How should we handle the KB / MB / GB questions?

Order matters more than exact conversion at this level: a text document in kilobytes, a photo in megabytes, a film in gigabytes. Anchoring each unit to a real file type is more useful than memorising 1,024.
