Frequently asked questions
Should answers be written in full paragraphs?
For the 'explain' and 'suggest' questions, yes - two or three sentences with a reason. Labelling and matching questions can stay short.
Is a diagram expected for the water cycle?
A labelled sketch with evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection is a strong answer at Grade 5 and usually earns full credit.
How is this different from the Grade 4 food chapter?
Grade 4 identifies nutrients and preservation methods; Grade 5 explains processes - digestion and absorption, the water cycle, why each purification method suits a particular impurity, and pollution analysis.
