Which way should food-chain arrows point?

From the organism being eaten towards the one eating it, because the arrow shows energy moving. Grass to grasshopper to frog, not the reverse.

Is a cactus spine a leaf or a thorn?

Cactus spines are modified leaves - the reduced surface cuts water loss, and the thick green stem takes over photosynthesis. This is a favourite Grade 4 adaptation question.
